Dr. Patricia Delzell, the President of Advanced Musculoskeletal Medicine Consultants Inc. will be a sponsor at the SiSTAR Stay Polished Self Care Event on June 6th. Meet her and talk about the advantages of being a client at Advanced MMC and how it can be used to improve people’s wellbeing and their overall quality of life.
SiSTAR Circle has come to be known as the sisterhood where people can find information, insights and resources that have many benefits for them. It’s a platform to inspire others and that’s something that Dr. Delzell has already been doing with her long-standing career in the medical field. She is board-certified musculoskeletal radiologist, who has specialized in integrative treatment of chronic musculoskeletal pain.
After receiving her medical degree in 1993, she embarked on a career journey that has spanned both, private practice and academic medicine. In 2009, she was chosen as the Director of musculoskeletal ultrasound at the Cleveland Clinic, a position she served on for a decade. Today, she is the President of Advanced Musculoskeletal Medicine Consultants Inc, which has become the leader in integrative pain management in North East Ohio.
There are numerous reasons why people are afflicted with Chronic Pain in joints, muscles, fascia, tendons and nerves. It could be due to a past injury, surgery, repetitive trauma or any other reason. It can be debilitating and seriously hampers people’s normal functioning. That’s where Advanced MMC has its benefits as it enables people to resume to their normal life activities and enhance their wellbeing.
Advanced Musculoskeletal Medicine Consultants treatments are based on ultrasound diagnostics wherein high spatial resolution of musculoskeletal ultrasound will allow doctors to evaluate the internal details of tendons, ligaments, nerves, muscles, and fascia. Dr. Delzell, a national expert in peripheral nerve entrapments, uses ultrasound to find and treat the underlying cause of chronic pain, even if the patient has had a prior normal MRI or EMG. This clinic specializes in helping people with chronic physical pain. They have the expertise, reputation, and equipment to offer individualized treatment plans.
"I envision a collaborative care model for the patients who are referred to me in order to guide and maintain a state of inner balance moving away from pain, illness, and disease and focusing on the wellness of the mind, body and soul,” says Dr. Patricia Delzell. Last year, she was chosen as AIUM Fellow, which is a highly regarded, select group of ultrasound experts.
Dr. Delzell has also been providing awareness about Advanced MMC by traveling nationally to deliver lectures on the topic. Her in-depth insights and inspiring words are what one can look forward to at the SiSTAR Stay Polished Self Care event on June 6th.
