Kate Edwards has dedicated her whole career to supporting other women and helping them realize their goals and make an impact. As the founder of Mums Supporting Mums and Social Media Sisters, Edwards has helped many people create new streams of income and an even bigger social impact.

Edwards has brought over 12,000 women into her programs. She says that her target audience is women over 30, especially moms, who are looking for secondary income.

It was certainly not an easy road for Edwards, who was a domestic violence survivor and faced homelessness before turning her life around and finding success. She has now accomplished over 1 million dollars in sales, become a best-selling author, and most important to her, been a great mother to her son Harry who has autism.

Edwards wants people in her community to leverage networking to achieve better results.

“When you join the Social [Media] Sisters, you become part of a global community of women that know how important meeting other women is in achieving your goals,” Edwards said. “Networking is a key driver within our group, which means you will meet like-minded women who love to create and disrupt the industry we are in.”

For Edwards, being able to set her own hours and escape the 9-5 lifestyle made a huge difference, especially as her son required more attention from her.

“When I escaped a domestic violence situation, I took the initiative to see how an online business could work for me and Harry as he needed me so much more than any 9-5 job,” Edwards said. “I was not prepared to risk our emotions and mental health by forcing my little boy into care for 10 hours a day so I could afford to live. I hated every second of being so poor and I knew that we deserved so much more.”

To Edwards, being able to bring her knowledge and expertise to others who have experienced a similar situation as her is incredibly rewarding.

“Social Media Sisters is a program for you if you’re a professional woman with a career to manage, a family to juggle, and an income to create,” Edwards said. “You need support from people who understand your path and are excited about it.” To follow Kate and her journey check out her Instagram.
