Charles Chadwick, in his book, The Pastor of the Student Loan Disaster, "College Debt or Skill Set: A Critical Choice for Success," wants students not to overlook the importance of trade skills and other alternative pathways while pursuing education.

College expenses have been gradually increasing over the past thirty years. Today, the tuition cost for a four-year degree at a public college is over $10,000; at a private institution, it goes up to $38,000. With education prices rising, more and more students are applying for college loans and other forms of financial aid. Every day, more than half of the literate young population finishes their degree with thousands of dollars of debt, struggling to pay it back and hoping for loan forgiveness.

Unfortunately, expecting such grace is a lost cause. After gathering extensive information about student loan forgiveness, Charles Chadwick highlights his take on the issue. He wants people to adopt a "duality mentality for the economy." Instead of settling for just a college degree, he encourages students to venture into trade skills and other alternative pathways to secure their futures and pay off their debts.

Charles' story is like every other student's; he faced similar challenges while paying for his college education independently without any financial support. Despite his struggles, Charles reduced his college costs/expenses by 40 percent, saving him thousands of dollars he didn't have to pay for two degrees. But even those two degrees didn't equal the amount of success he achieved through a trade skill set he learned for free. Even while attending Lees-McRae College, his previous trade working experience enabled him to successfully secure a work-study position within the college maintenance department.

Also, it helped him pay off his student loans after college, as he could easily find side jobs and employment in the trade industry. He could repay all his debt in time because of the plumbing skill set he learned from his father. Having acquired knowledge of finance management before starting college, he found this experience less exhausting and more manageable. In the current competitive environment, possessing a trade or practical skill set is a blessing and more advantageous than pursuing multiple degrees.

Charles urges fellow students/parents to avoid disregarding the trade industry and explore alternative paths before plunging into student loans. He empathizes with the students and has written three books to help them reduce college debt and be financially independent from a young age.

Charles had also predicted that even President Joe Biden didn't have the authority to cancel student loan debts, saying, "The president cannot cancel debt like that based off the laws, I signed a Master Promissory Note like everyone else, and you can't get a loan without signing that document."

In his new book, "The Pastor of the Student Loan Disaster," Charles guides students on tackling educational loans with some quality advice. Additionally, he motivates them to generate supplementary income by highlighting the benefits of the trade industry and why it's an effective route to financial prosperity and homeownership in the future.

Charles aims to support individuals in obtaining college degrees by aiding them in reducing their expenses, exploring alternative avenues to generate income, and effectively managing their debts. He challenges the prevalent idea of debt forgiveness. He raises questions about the authorities that unilaterally claim to cancel the debt. His books document his experience in the trade industry and how it helped him financially. He is the torchbearer of adopting a "duality mentality for the economy."

His heartfelt desire is to liberate students from the overwhelming weight and relentless trials imposed by debts, offering them a ray of hope to reclaim their lives and find solace in financial freedom. His experience as an African American in the academic sector also delivers readers a profound analysis of how being well-equipped with financial knowledge and trade expertise can empower individuals to overcome obstacles in life and navigate ethically complex news narratives related to race.
