With awards presented in varied categories, a delicious buffet lunch, speeches from Amanda Scott, CEO, the day also welcomed guest speaker Jules Walker from Royal Star & Garter, and a segment from Neil Flack, representing The Care Workers Charity.

Forest Healthcare Supports Charitable Causes and Marks Remarkable Achievements
Alongside the awards, the day of celebration included varied speeches, with Colin Widdowson contributing A Serviceman’s Experience, which is highly relevant given that Forest Healthcare has recently achieved full Veteran Friendly Framework accreditation across its care centres.
Residents were also encouraged to contribute by explaining how individuals had gone above and beyond. There were several touching and emotional interviews where residents talked about their happiness, experiences and the carers who deserve specific recognition for their compassion and respect.
Another highlight was the speech from Jules Walker of Royal Star & Garter, a co-founding organisation behind the Veteran Friendly Framework, and the opportunity for Forest Healthcare to present a cheque to The Care Workers Charity for a staggering £11,474, accepted by Neil Flack.
Over the last year, Forest Healthcare colleagues have taken on varied challenges to raise these vital funds, supporting the charity which helps carers in hardship or dealing with sudden illness or personal crises. Events have included bake sales, hiking challenges, and even skydiving.

Comments on the Success of the Forest Healthcare Annual Awards Conference
Amanda Scott, Chief Executive Officer of Forest Healthcare said, 'The energy and atmosphere were incredible, and it was a day of real excitement and celebration, with so many worthy award winners who represent the values that underpin every one of our care centres.
I want to reiterate our thanks to everyone who supported the event, including Burns Gym, who led a warm-up to get everyone into the mood, and to all the guest speakers from inside and outside the Forest Healthcare group who took time out of their schedules to present, speak or create videos for us to share with our colleagues.
The conference has been a long-standing part of the Forest Healthcare calendar. It's a brilliant way to remind ourselves of the importance of the work that each carer does, especially when hearing from residents that many conference attendees regard as friends.
Congratulations to all the award winners and highly commended recipients, each of whom was selected from several exceptional nominees, and to the individual care centres who won the accolades of Lifelong Learner and Circle of Excellence.'
