At Bonaventure of Lacey, caregiving is more than a job—it’s a calling. Two members of their care staff, Gavin Palacios and Taiylor Owens, are being recognized by The Senior Action Network for the meaningful impact they make through their compassion, work ethic, and commitment to residents each day.
Both caregivers were nominated based on feedback from residents, peers, and leadership who see firsthand the difference their presence makes within the community.
For Gavin, caregiving is both his first professional role and a lifelong dream realized. From a young age, he felt drawn to working with seniors and building meaningful relationships. At Bonaventure of Lacey, Gavin finds inspiration in residents’ life stories and strives to bring comfort, laughter, and consistency to their routines.
Taiylor began her journey with Bonaventure of Lacey shortly after graduating high school, and it quickly became the place where she discovered her passion for caregiving. Taiylor values the close bonds she has built with both residents and staff, often describing the community as an extension of her own family. Her managers inspire her to grow professionally, and she continues to model the same dedication she sees in them every day.
