Royal Thai Army To Give Blankets To The Cold Victims

Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand - Chief of the 22nd Royal Thai Army Military Circle General Achichat Rojanapirom led the soldiers of Sappasitthiprasong Camp to give 50 blankets to the villagers who live near Thailand - Laos border area that located at Khongjeam district, Ubon Ratchathani province. That areas are colder than usual weather, and the winter clothing is not enough for the villagers.

 

Royal Thai Army concerns extend to the people who were suffering from cold weather, sending soldiers to help and alleviate the suffering urgently.  Provided 50 blankets to the villagers in Khongjeam district, Ubon Ratchathani province and 300 blankets to villagers in Kuchinarai district and Khao Wong district.

 

Colonel Sittisak Promdirek, the Kalasin Army Area ’s Chief of Staff said Kuchinarai district and Khao Wong district located near the Phu Phan mountains. These areas temperature drop below 20 degrees Celsius, which affect the living conditions of people.

 

However, during the temperature drop, Royal Thai Army warned people to prepare thick clothes and a blanket at bedtime to prevent the flu, pneumonia. They also advised the car drivers to be extra careful when driving because there is the dense fog in the morning, it could cause poor visibility while driving and it may cause accidents during this time.


The Royal Thai Army Chief Udomdetch Sritaboot ordered to the local leaders to explore the region to accelerate the demand for winter clothes to alleviate the suffering promptly before this crisis.
