Halmahera Resources, a leading low-cost producer of nickel that generates sustainable prosperity for our employees, investors and the communities in which it operates, is pleased to announce the implementing of a single mechanism for loading and stockpiling operations as a form of an integrated system that will facilitate the procedures and will protect the quality of the products as well as will reduce the generation of dusty particles.
The new type of machine that will be used for loading and stockpiling will be able to handle a fully integrated operation, like receiving material from loaders and discharging the same material without using extra equipment. This will help protecting the environment while keeping safe the material being conveyed. By using the single integrated machine, the operators will be able to take a series of measures to control pollution.
During regular transportation of the material, it is essential to ensure easy relocation of the equipment in order to optimize the operations on different sites and the new integrated machine can efficiently transport the residual material to the receiving and stockpiling areas. The machine will be of high use within stockpiling because it will enable the production of stockpiles with reduced movement, which is required in regional storage units and outside.
Commenting on the innovative perspective, Peter Thohir, Press Officer said: “Transporters are handling the distribution operations with higher flexibility due to mobile equipment. The new integrated machine is adjustable and facilitates the trade diversification for import and export of large amounts of dry materials. The machine will be available in several series depending on the components and volume of the material to be loaded and stockpiled and each series will match the specific requirements of each operation.”
