At the 44th Vienna Motor Symposium, Kai Ni, founder and CEO of HoloMatic Technology, and Truls Thorstensen, President and CEO of EFS Consulting, gave an outlook on the global race of technologies in the area of assisted and autonomous driving technology.
According to the lecture, from global perspective, the key success factors are dramatically different for different countries and regions, triggered by cultural such as technology acceptance and legislation and regulations allowing usage in early of the technologies. It is also triggered by the main customer expectations like sense of safety, efficiency and comfort which are different by regional culture. The challenge is finding the best ADAS solution to give customers confidence and even fascination while using ADAS. In order to meet different requirements from different countries or regions, one of the challenges is finding a solution adaptable for each target market. For example, Chinese ADAS companies are good at fulfilling requirements of new generations. On the contraries, Europeans companies are targeting more on elder customer group. The key success factor for market extension is increasing ADAS adaptability for different target groups.
