Brand's Rogue, Versa and LEAF Earn Best-Ever Tallies for the Month

In recent years, Nissan has released a seemingly constant output of redesigned or significantly updated vehicles, and those efforts continue to generate results on dealership lots across the United States. Moving more than 94,000 units last month, the Japanese auto brand reported record October sales, and its performance was bolstered by best-ever October tallies from the Nissan Versa, Rogue and LEAF, which were revamped for the 2015, 2014 and 2013 model years, respectively.

Aided by the revised front-end styling and newly standard Bluetooth connectivity of its 2015 sedan models, the Nissan Versa subcompact sold more than 11,000 units in October for a 29 percent increase compared to the same month last year. Meanwhile, the Nissan Rogue continues to benefit from a 2014-model-year redesign that brought best-in-class highway fuel economy, as sales of the compact crossover SUV rose by 14 percent year-over-year last month. Perhaps most impressively, the Nissan LEAF not only saw its sales jump by 29 percent in October, but the all-electric vehicle also set its second consecutive annual sales record with more than two months left in 2014.

"By offering better fuel efficiency, more standard technology and bolder styling, Nissan is attracting buyers across a broad range of segments and prices," said Larry Tentarelli, general manager of AutoFair Nissan of Stratham, a New Hampshire Nissan dealer. "In addition to the three vehicles that set October records last month, Nissan had nine other models that experienced year-over-year sales growth, so the brand is clearly operating on all cylinders right now."

Among those popular models was the Nissan Murano, which attracted a sales gain of 38 percent in October. With production of a redesigned 2015 model underway as of Nov. 5, the midsize crossover SUV could see an additional boost in sales momentum in the coming months. The 2015 Nissan Murano dons a V-Motion front end, LED boomerang lights and a floating roof treatment to closely match the aggressively styled Nissan Resonance Concept. Inside the lounge-like cabin, buyers will be treated to a wide center console, a sophisticated lower-height instrument panel, and Zero Gravity front and outboard-rear seats.
