While the first two generations of Nissan's Murano crossover were built in Japan, the automaker decided to move production of the recently launched third generation stateside to Canton, Mississippi. Now on sale in Massachusetts, the all-new 2015 Nissan Murano appears to be designed for American tastes as well, sporting a daring exterior and a spacious, upscale cabin.

With its distinctive V-motion front end, boomerang LED lights and a swooping roofline that almost appears to float above the prominent windows, the 2015 Murano won't be confused for other crossovers in mall parking lots. Its sleek exterior also boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.31, helping the new Murano return up to five more miles per gallon on the highway compared to its predecessor. Other new fuel-saving features on the 2015 Murano include low-rolling-resistance tires, an air grille shutter, revisions to the Xtronic transmission and a weight loss of about 145 pounds.

"It seems like every month buyers are presented with a new crossover, but the 2015 Murano stands out from all the others with unique styling that was essentially pulled directly from a concept vehicle," said Kendrick Hollie, general manager of AutoFair Nissan Tewksbury, a Massachusetts Nissan dealership. "Not only that, but the new Murano has an open, lounge-like cabin that makes passengers feel like they're the only ones out on the road."

The airy feel inside the 2015 Murano is created by a low and wide center console, a revamped instrument panel, large windows and an available oversized Power Panoramic Moonroof. Meanwhile, NASA-inspired Zero Gravity front and outboard-rear seats and a best-in-class interior volume of 147.7 cubic feet contribute to comfort and convenience. Drivers can also stay safely wired in during their commutes by opting for in-car technology like the NissanConnect infotainment system, an eight-inch color display with multi-touch control, the Bluetooth Hands-free Phone System with streaming audio and an iPod interface.
